Vintage Apple Core Quilt, ca 1950

Freshly washed. Hand pieced and hand quilted, this 1950s quilt boasts both color and print! It's delightfully scrappy, a mix of feed sack scraps and other cottons from the first half of the 20th century. It's in perfect condition, with one tiny tan dot on a pale pink scrap. The backing is a soft, snuggly, striped cotton flannel indicative of the 1950s. The quilt is set off by a bright yellow, scalloped binding.
