1940’s Feed Sack String Quilt

A wonderful utilitarian quilt constructed of cotton scraps including feed sack cloth. This machine pieced and hand quilted on the diagonal. It has some (dark green) hand stitched patches added at a later date. The binding is a hand applied, floral cotton binding. The backing is a clean white cotton.

Freshly washed

Condition: Fair. Note the (6) dark green mends, patches added later. Some other general signs of use like color fade, a few thread bare patches and some wear to the binding. Sturdy and soft
