19th Century Antique Applique Whig Rose Quilt

A gorgeous mix of hand stitched applique and hand piecing. This quilt is from the mid to second half of the 19th century. It is densely hand quilted with tiny hand stitches covering the entire quilt. May be the work of a group. Quilting motifs include arcs, feathers, crosshatch etc. It has an applied binding.

Condition: Very Good. Some general patina due to age on front and back. A few scattered marks. 

Weight: Thin, Summer weight

Measures: 88 x 91 inches
