A rare pattern! This is an early quilt in a pattern affectionately referred to as “Little Boy's Britches” due to the nature of the block's design resembling a “windmill” of pant leg-like shapes. This quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. This is in good condition for its age, with minimal thinning of fabrics (really only the bright red as shown) but it does have some overall toning (toasting) and some other scattered marks as shown.
It is a thin, summer weight quilt with a playful border and great fabrics.
