19th Century Double Irish Chain Antique Quilt 

Unwashed to preserve original dyes, aired on a line. A stunning, patchwork quilt from the second half of the 19th century boasting gorgeous, saturated, early dyes in green, yellow and Madder browns. Hand quilted in a dark blue (likely once dark green) thread. The backing is a beautiful pink, floral, vermicular. There is a 3.5” rod pocket carefully hand stitched along the back, top edge for easy display. Some minor areas of split to the madder patches, and some thinning to the binding. over all great condition.
