A wonderful, time-worn antique quilt in a honey bee pattern from the mid 1800s. Hand pieced in a variety of colored threads and hand quilted by an expert hand in tiny stitches, cross hatch and rod. The fabrics have faded to pale tones over the years.
Condition: Fair. Over all fading from age and light exposure. The red fabric, now pink has an eyelet effect where the centers (once dark brown) on all the little white figures are lost. There is a spray of dark rust on the back on one corner. Soft and well broken in.
Weight: Light, summer weight
Measures: 74 x 78 inches
