19th Century Square in a Square Antique Quilt

19th Century Square in a Square Quilt. Incredible, hand pieced and expertly hand quilted, antique quilt. This is a wonderfully large size, great for atop a queen bed. There are so many stunning fabrics from the early to mid 1800s, many of which boast amazing florals and geometrics. The quilter really put thought into the design of this piece and there are surprising, delightful fabric pairings in every block. The wide green border frames it beautifully. There are 6/7 blocks that have some fabric deterioration due to dye chemistry of the time period and one block on the very corner with a little tan toning to the white. Over all it is an absolutely stunning collection piece in beautiful condition for its age!
