19th Century Star Quilt Top

A glorious, unfinished quilt top pieced both by hand and early machine stitch(mostly used to set the blocks),  in a variety of threads and thread colors. It is in perfect condition with only some slight yellowing from age in the white fabric around the stars. There are stunning examples of early 19th century fabrics including a block with a star pieced with a perfect chintz rose (classic) which maintains its original glaze. It's a piece to pour over and makes a gorgeous addition to any collection.
