Antique 19th Century Nine Patch Quilt

A stunning, mint condition patchwork quilt, hand pieced in classic nine patch blocks and hand quilted. The fabrics are exceptional, a rich vibrant blue paired with a gold/yellow cotton printed with brown florals. The fabrics, especially the yellow, are unique and special. The backing is constructed using undyed cotton in panels that range in width from 32 to 33 inches and are almost 100 inches in length, possibly home woven. What the quilt maker lacked in quilting skills, they made up for with their fabric choice and abundance.

Condition: Mint. No signs of wear. Some storage stains on the backing.
