Antique Applique Floral Quilt, ca 1920

A unique pattern! This is a freshly washed, well loved quilt. It has a definite shabby/chic vibe with lots of fabric loss on the flower stems and leaves. Someone had just begun a restoration on it but that was abandoned, leaving us with a single vibrant flower. The applique fabric is doubled, so that the effect is a thin white piping around every shape, very charming. There are various pale, tan and gray marks from age and use.
