Antique Basket Quilt, ca 1890

Antique Basket Quilt, ca 1890. A gorgeous black, white and burgundy basket quilt full of black and grey mourning prints. It is in wonderful condition with some slight fade to 3.5 burgundy baskets and a small black paint mark. It is freshly washed and ready for use. The edge is a machine stitched, knife edge and the words “L.M.T to Lolanette” are written in quick ink onto the top left corner on the backing. The backing is very clean, a white and black shirting stripe with one small, 2 x 2” patch mend towards the bottom. Over all, gorgeous, clean quilt in wonderful shape!
