Antique Baskets Quilt c1890

A cheerful, bright basket quilt from the late 1800s with a uniquely designed double pink sashing. It is hand pieced and hand quilted, and the colors are so bright. Note the curling wave motif quilted into the sashing and borders.

Condition: Good. There is some loss to the tan and black print and some dye rot to the centers of the figures on the burgundy/brown baskets. There is some yellowing to the fold lines on the backing of the quilt. Overall, bright and sturdy. Washed and soft.
