Antique Bear Paw Patchwork Quilt c1890

Freshly washed, this sweet bear paw quilt is constructed of two different, late 19th century prints with figures of leaves. One is in a brown color palette and the other a black figure on a white ground. The paws are a white and chrome orange micro-stripe. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. 

There is some light discoloration to the orange paws due to time and washing. Some scattered marks remain in the white areas. There are two mends, one small on the front and a larger, hand stitched patch on the back. 

Condition: Freshly washed. Fair condition. Residual marks, some fade to orange, and two hand mends, front and back. 

Weight: Medium to light. Very soft.
