Antique Brown Calico 9 Patch Quilt, ca 1890

Hand pieced and hand quilted and in good condition. The 9 patch is a classic, beloved pattern and this one is backed with a wonderful “cheater print” or simulated patchwork fabric. It has its original red binding which has thinned in a few places. There are various small mends to the patchwork and one small torn area that is surface only. This has been washed and lined dried. Overall Blush patina from the backing being wetted and soaked. A gorgeous, early antique quilt!
