Antique Cross Quilt, ca 1880. Hand quilted and hand pieced, this antique quilt is freshly cleaned. The backing is in very poor condition, with dye rot in the brown stripes due to early dye methods, it needs a new backing. There is some residual staining to the front, mostly from brown dye migration. There are lots of stunning 19th century fabrics in pleasing “pattern on pattern” arrangements. This is a great display or rehab quilt. Gorgeous colors.
