Antique Double 9 Patch Quilt, 19th Cent

A stunning antique quilt from the mid 19th century with stunning examples of early chintz and other amazing, little swatches from the early to mid1800s. It is hand pieced with a brilliant green calico binding and it's exceptionally quilted by a very skilled quilter(s). There is one fabric that succumbed to loss, it's the (now) tan fabric that made up 4 of the large blocks. One more small 9 patch along the right edge (dark, madder, brown) rotted out also. 

This is freshly washed and absolutely gorgeous. Minimal yellowing and marks remain, faint and unobtrusive.
