Antique Feed Sack String Quilt

Antique Feed Sack String Quilt. Circa 1900, this hand dyed feed sack quilt is a beautifully primitive piece. A truly utilitarian use quilt, it's wonderfully scrappy and comprised mostly of home dyed Feed sack cloth. The sashing was once red, no a fugitive tan and the green Feed sacks have faded with age to a soft sage. There are lots of clothing scraps, wonderful indigos and stripes, some dark brown patches have been lost. There is some age related staining.
