Antique Flying Geese Quilt c1870

Hand pieced and hand quilted, this quilt was made sometime around 1870 to 1890. The colors are absolutely wonderful, lots of Madder prints and indigo resists. There is some loss to certain fabrics (please review photos), and a couple of water marks. The binding is a beautiful Madder red calico which is frayed. All of the Indigo geese have been quilted in blue thread. 

Condition: Fair. Some fabric loss particularly to the solid, tan blocks at center. Binding worn and some triangles showing fabric loss. A few small water marks. Has been aired. 

Weight: Medium weight, soft and sturdy
