Antique Green and Orange Mathematical Star Quilt

A 19th century quilt constructed in a mathematical star pattern commonly referred to as the Lone Star or Star of Bethlehem. This striking quilt is from the second half of the 19th century and shines with the combination of green and bright chrome orange. The star is framed by a single white border.

The star is hand pieced and the set by machine stitching. The quilting is all done by hand.

Condition: Good. Sound body. Some loss of color to the chrome orange in areas likely due to contact with a cleaning agent.
