Antique Hole in the Barn Door Patchwork Quilt c1900

An abundance of Turkey red frames the blocks on this turn of the century quilt. It is washed and so soft, hand pieced and hand quilted. The backing is a wonderful woven plaid, narrow panels, with a sweet hand mend in one corner. This quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, in a Baptist fan pattern, using a dyed cotton thread (greenish grey).

Condition: Fair, some fade, some dye loss to certain blocks, and some loss to the white fabric along the center horizontal fold line. 

Weight: Medium. Very soft.
