Antique Indigo Quilt Top c1890

A wonderful unfinished quilt top from the last quarter of the 19th century. The diamonds are foundation pieced and still have the basting stitches in several places. Lots of wonderful scraps and the back boasts the fabrics used as the foundation. 

Condition: Excellent. Any stains were on the fabrics prior to construction and they were used as the foundation backing for piecing, visible only on the back. These would have been hidden inside the finished quilt.
