Antique Indigo & White Patchwork Crown Quilt c1890

Stunning,  completely hand pieced and hand quilted. Excellent condition, freshly aired. Very soft, great drape and crinkle. The backing is pieced cotton sheeting, stamped with the Augusta Factory stamp, a textile mill on the Augusta Canal in Georgia from 1860 to the early 1900s. Note the nautical, anchor print used throughout the blocks, a great late 19th century conversation print. Colors are bold and true. 

This is a wonderful collector's quilt. 

Condition: Excellent. Some faint discoloration from storage in a few areas of the white calico where it meets the blue sashing.

Weight: Medium. Soft, great drape.
