Antique Kansas Sunflower Quilt

A gorgeous, near mint, 19th century quilt in a sunflower block. Hand pieced (in the round!) and hand quilted in a mixture of outline, zig-zag, and stars. The color combinations are extremely pleasing and the condition is wonderful. It has an applied binding. The quiltmaker used brown thread in areas that were darker in color, a conscious design choice.

Condition: Collection quality, excellent. Some fray to binding from age. No real signs of use. A few scattered storage marks. Overall bright and stunning.

Weight: Thin, low loft, medium weight

Measures 88 x 100 inches
