Antique Lady of The Lake Quilt c1890

A perfect, late 19th century, hand pieced quilt in a bright wine red with half triangles of mixed prints; shirtings, scraps of cretonne, micro-ginghams, etc. The backing is a beautiful allover floral. Binding is a wraparound bind from front to back. It is hand quilted in an outline with scallops quilted into the border. Wonderful, collector’s quality.

Condition: Mint condition, one very, very light fade area to the maroon in the upper left side (from light). 

Weight: Summer weight, very low loft
