Antique LeMoyne Star Quilt ca 1880

A stunning, museum quality antique quilt complete with a centennial “1776 George Washington” print from 1876. The star blocks measure just three inches by three inches and the stars are beautifully pieced from a huge stash of gorgeous fabrics. This is one of those quilts we could stare at for days… In addition to the collectible centennial GW fabric, there are tons of other droolworthy prints. It has never been used and is crisp and beautiful.

Condition: Excellent. Some small marks on the front as shown, one corner with some toning. The back is solid, although one should note the dye migration in places from the darker brown stars which shows through onto the backing. Some fading to a few of the darker brown stars due to the particular dyes used.
