Antique Oakleaf Quilt

Oak Leaf Quilt 

Hand appliqued and hand quilted with tan and red threads. This quilt received a lot of TLC. It has been soaked and sun dried out of necessity, it has the incredible quilt crinkle we love after being washed for the very first time. Now, very soft.  Due to the dye processes of the time, the tan fabric is mostly lost. Someone had begun a restoration, of sorts, on one tan  leaf. There are several sack cloth mends and water staining remains in areas. It has a great patina and displays well, especially folded. The turkey red can't be beat.
