Antique Patchwork Quilt, 1924

Antique patchwork quilt, dated 1924. This antique patchwork quilt is initialed and dated by red embroidery on the corner, LSJ 1924. It is a classic 1920s quilt in a half triangle pattern using predominantly red white and bue cottons in a variety of prints. It has a narrow red border serving to frame the patchwork and a wider outer border in a deep cream/light tan. The backing is a perfect blue check. Machine pieced and hand quilted in a chevron.

Condition: Very good. Some toning to the edges and corners from storage and some wear to the edges. 1 little split in the red border fabric.
