Antique Red & White Chimney Sweep Quilt, ca 1890

Hand pieced and hand quilted. Great condition, some minimal toning, some scattered marks/yellowing and some light fading in the areas of the red cotton. This has a beautiful drapey weight, and the quiting is very nicely done, with cathedral windows at the center of each white block. The back is a printed in a cream and gray, “touching squares” figure.
