Antique Sawtooth Quilt, 1851

A lovely quilt both front and back which has just been carefully hand soaked out of necessity and air dried. Some overall toning and fading persist along with some splitting of the tan fabric. There is a hand sewn label on the back with first initial, last name and the date of 1851. The backing is absolutely beautiful. The quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted and boast very pretty early fabrics.
