Antique Touching Stars Quilt

Antique Touching Stars Quilt. Well worn but freshly washed and air dried, this antique quilt is BEAUTIFULLY hand quilted with tiny, precise stitches and a range of designs, many of which are double quilted. The stars themselves are pieced by hand. This is a thin, drapey quilt with significant wear. The red has thinned on all of the stars but the white, blue and chrome orange remain sturdy. The white borders have also thinned toward the edges from use. This received a full soak and some dark, small spots remain. They are fast and cannot be removed, located near the edges. One corner is missing, about 2 inches and has been mended over. There is minimal thin-through on several other corners and edges. There are some scattered dark marks to the back side. Despite the wear, this quilt remains sturdy thanks to the expert quilting and stronger cottons. Of course, the colors are wonderful. 

Thin, summer weight, great drape.
