Blue and White 19th Century Antique Patchwork Quilt

An American quilt, completely hand stitched in a beautiful, classic white and indigo blue. It shows its age in the condition described in detail below, but still does not fail to delight in its classic color and stunning hand work. The border is just lovely and makes the whole quilt.

Condition: This quilt shows *significant * signs of use and wear and tear, with intense thinning to the edges (especially visible from the back) and corners. The corners are thinned to torn. There are some faded areas and scattered marks throughout. Due to fragility it should not be wetted. It has been aired and gently sunned to refresh. Best for display and/or study. There is an addition of some short rod sleeving to the back where it had been hung by someone.
