Blue and White Triple Irish Chain

A hand quilted, Triple Irish Chain quilt from the early 20th century. This is the most densely quilted quilt to pass through here with miniscule stitches and triple rod quilting through most of the quilt with some cross hatch in the white blocks. The texture is stunning. It is hand pieced and the blocks are set by machine stitching. The quilting is all done by an experienced hand (s). Applied machine binding.

The blue squares measure approx 1" x 1".

Condition: Excellent. Some yellowing from storage throughout. No signs of use.
