Chrome Yellow Sashed Antique Quilt, 19th Cent

19th Century Antique Quilt. Gorgeous, hand pieced and hand quilted 19th century quilt in great condition. This is a restored quilt, with several blocks (blue and tan/brown) on the diagonal which have been restored. The colors are absolutely beautiful, light and bright and cheerful. So many beautiful examples of early 19th century fabrics. The sashing has some dappled dye rot in the tiny figures which is typical of these colors and prints due to the dye processes of the time period. These are noticeable on close inspection. There are some scattered faint marks and a little fabric loss to some of the earliest prints. This quilt is freshly washed and ready to bring home.
