Flying Geese Antique Quilt ca 1880

A wonderful 19th century antique quilt in a flying geese pattern, hand pieced and hand quilted. The triangles are set in rows and boast a variety of prints and dyes from the 1800s. There is some splitting and some significant fabric loss as shown in the photos on the front and some splitting along the stripes on the back due to the particular dyes used.

This makes a good collection, study, or display quilt. The backing is a trailing vine stripe. There are some water marks, rings, on the backing. Not suitable for soaking.
