Flying Geese Star Quilt c1890

This stunning quilt is completely hand pieced and hand quilted, and beautifully executed. The material has a sheen and slip to it like a satin or cotton sateen. It is in very good condition with some small scattered marks and only two small gold triangles which are thinning. The back has a darkened area on one side, as shown.

This quilt has been well stored. The pattern is stunning with a center panel and with stars in the inner corners. There are wreaths hand quilted into all four outer corners. The colors are close to a pale brass or light gold, and a soft salmon pink. 

Displays beautifully, makes a wonderful addition to any collection.
