Gorgeous 19th Century Indigo & Pink Antique Quilt, Stamped Inscription

GREAT SIZE! This large and lovely 19th century quilt with zigzag border and stars in the corners is a treat! There is a hand stamped inscription on the backside corner which is lightly visible albeit faded. It's completely hand pieced and beautifully hand quilted. There is minimal wear in the form of thinning to the brown leaves in the little pink swatches which is due to early dye processes which cause those figures wear through. There are varying degrees of this in the pink of each block, visible upon close examination. The only other flaw is some sun damage, where the quilt was folded we see fading to the quadrant that faced (likely) a window. There are some very pale scattered marks visible up close in a few of the white areas. Scattered marks, light brown, to the backing.  Overall it's extremely beautiful and lovely additional to any collection or space.
