Hand Pieced Antique Log Cabin Quilt Top, ca 1880

This is an antique, hand stitched, unfinished quilt top from the late 1880s. There are no holes or wear, but there is some significant staining (likely from moisture during storage) which may soak out. The fabrics are wonderful, many charming floral prints and pops of deep indigo. Of course the signature “red hearth” at the center of many log cabin blocks. A beautiful piece, worthy of completion or to be enjoyed as is!
