Hand Pieced Antique Quilt

A rare pattern (please email me if you know the name). Incredibly, this is a hand pieced quilt. If you look closely at the photos you can see the fascinating way it is constructed with curves and all kinds of turns and angles. It is white and turkey red. There are several mends, you can see them clearly in a darker red, as well as a white patch on the backing. There is significant thinning to the red sections (some more thinned than others) as shown, although the main body is sturdy. It is freshly washed. Note also the small marks on the backing. ( For those sensitive to perfumes, this does have a lingering scent of laundry detergent from previous owner. )
