Hand Tied Shirting Quilt c1920

A fabulous, hand pieced and hand tied quilt from the early 1900s. It's a patchwork in a brick and strip pattern using all sorts of beautiful, woven cottons in pale blues and whites. The backing is a black and white, all-over micro floral/trailing vine. There are a few splits and some patina to the back, with wear to the binding. The front is in good condition with a light pink smudge on one border area. 

A fabulous quilt from both a visual and textural standpoint.
