Hand Tied Vintage Quilt ca 1940

Mint condition, hand tied, patchwork quilt from Reading, Pennsylvania. Machine pieced and hand tied with red cotton threads. This quilt is in perfect condition and boats a cheerful bar backing in early 20th century floral prints (dress prints). It has a hand embroidered chain, also in red, along the outer edge of the border along the knife-edge binding. Small, white cotton patch at bottom left corner marking its time with the Historical Society of Berks County in Reading Pennsylvania.

This is a gorgeous quilt for collection or use. It has a comfort weight and lays beautifully flat.
