Indigo and White Double Irish Chain Antique Quilt, ca 1900. A gorgeous, handmade antique quilt in, not only a classic color scheme, but also the fine and highly desirable pattern of the Irish Chain. The patchwork is done by mix of machine piecing and hand stitching, the quilting is all done very nearly by hand in a diagonal grid. It is in mint condition with only a hint of fade along the center fold line crease. Gorgeous clean backing of the same calico used on the front. Matching indigo binding.
