Late 19th Century Log Cabin Quilt

Hand pieced using a foundation piecing method with red “hearth” squares at the center of each block, this summer quilt is hand quilted in an outline technique. It contains many wonderful 19th century fabric scraps which give it the iconic scrappy log cabin look. This quilt has a wonderful, deep red calico backing. 

Condition: Fair. Shows much use and some wear and tear along the edges from life. Very soft and drapey, colors are rich.
