Mid 19th Century Applique Quilt, ca 1850

A breathtaking, red and green civil war era applique quilt in beautiful condition with a beautifully unique border design! Completely hand stitched, all applique, and hand quilted. The fabric is in excellent condition and this has been well stored and barely (if ever) used. There is an over all patina from age and scattered brown marks from age. Some graying and yellowing on the back in areas, particularly the fold lines. This is a fantastic collection piece.
