Red & White Antique Double Irish Chain Quilt c1900

A classic, two tone quilt in bright red and white circa 1900 - 1920. Hand pieced and hand quilted by an expert hand. Note the double quilting on the single flower on the bottom left corner, a lovely intentional design choice. The border is extraordinary, with three sides done up in a triangle border with a half triangle patch in each of the bottom two bottom corners.

Condition: Excellent. Some scattered marks, one red patch has 2 tiny dots of white. No signs of thinning or use otherwise.  Some significant yellowing to the backing from storage.
