Rocky Road to Kansas Antique Quilt

Rocky Road to Kansas Antique Quilt. While the center block on the stars is solid, and not composed of the 4 half triangles that typically make up that center square on a Rocky Road block, I would still consider it a Rocky Road quilt unless I can be corrected ( which I would welcome). Hand pieced and hand quilted, the stars are pieced in a foundation method in the style of string piecing. The orange really POPS, it is as sumptuous and as saturated as it looks here. There are 16 of the 35 pieced blocks that present some fabric loss in varying degrees from thinning to overall loss. Thanks to the design, the problem areas detract minimally from the overall quilt, aesthetically. It really displays beautifully.
