What a fabulous quilt top, full of character and charm, from the early 1900s. Most of the fabrics used were pulled from fabric manufacturer’s sample books with remnants of the paper they has been glued to for display on the backs. The blocks are all different sizes with many “make-do” areas. They used larger sample scraps and also the classic brick size. It is pieced by hand. Many of the lighter prints are marked with pencil with the word “out” ( assuming “out of print” perhaps..) There are tons of great colors and weaves, note the rose and ribbon print, a simulated blue ribbon.
Condition: Fair. There are some marks and specks, with one major stain on the right edge. The size is large enough that the stain could be trimmed off prior to finishing As yet, unwashed in case someone chooses to finish it. A few thinned patches but overall sturdy and would do well with finishing.
Size: 81 x 94 inches (Large size!)
Please note that these are vintage and antique textiles, please read the descriptions carefully. I work hard to accurately describe and photograph any and all flaws. *All items are sold as is and all sales are final*
