Sea Island Nine Patch c1900

A fabulous, antique quilt made with shirting scraps and strips of sheeting from Sea Island Sheeting Co used for the sashing with logos still visible in places. A mix of hand piecing and some machine stitching. Completely hand quilted. A great, classic 9 patch quilt.

Condition: Very good. Clean, a few residual dots (mostly on the back). It doesn't sit square. Perhaps made by a young person. 

Weight: Medium to light weight

Measures: 73 x 82 inches
