Small Antique Hand Stitched Butterfly Cigarette Silks Panel with Hand Embroidery

Antique Butterfly Cigarette Silks, ca 1900. Small, hand stitched antique textile. Deep orange silk with a collection of butterfly cigarette silks. Hand embroidered embellishments. 

These silks were used by companies in the early 1900s as promotional gifts within cigarette packaging to entice customers to purchase their brands. The silks became very collectible for purchase and trading. 

I'm not sure if this was dyed with purpose, or if there is dye transfer from the blacks in the butterflies but there is a dark watercolor effect on it.
