Square in a Square Antique Quilt ca 1870

Near mint, hand pieced and hand quilted, this antique quilt, ca 1870 -1910, is full of all sorts of wonderful “madder style” prints (alizarine). The condition is very good, no signs of use. It has some staining to the backing, likely moisture, and few places that show dye migration. The edge is a knife edge and in perfect condition. The colors are really vibrant and the fabrics are in awesome condition. No signs of use. It's a great piece for collection, study or display.
