Staley's Feed Sack Quilt Top

A quirky, handmade quilt top with lots of fabrics circa 1950 with a center medallion of Staley's Corn Sack. While some sections are older, there are some newer fabrics like the rosebud flannel that tell us it was constructed as a whole more recently. It is a mix of hand and machine piecing. There are several patchwork patterns surrounding the sack and wider solid strips to complete the border. There are some scattered marks and a few loose seams. This was washed and there is some dye transfer from the reds in places. The top edge (pink) incorporates some additional feed sack materials.
